The charm of Villaputzu lies also and above all in the hands of its artisans who represent it as a hard-working city dedicated to art and culture.
Towards the basket shop especially the Villaputzesi proved to be particularly sensitive. The baskets that were once woven for purely domestic uses (flour collection, of bread, of the bride's trousseau) today they become artistic objects capable of beautifying any home.
It's no exception woodworking and the production of knives. The aesthetic taste of the past has been preserved and still remains clearly visible today in the wonderful chests, tables, cutting boards and knives that talk about Sardinia and its history.
In Villaputzu it is also possible to meet good craftsmen capable of shaping stone, iron and ceramic. All the creations of these artists can be admired on the occasion of the Market Exhibitionwhich is held every year during the month of August.
