DCIM100GOPROG0074276.It is one of the most evocative caves that make Monte del Castello di Quirra so precious. In fact, Susoni has a history full of controversial events. Today by visiting it it is possible to admire a notable example of early Christian hypogean burial, simple but functional, located in a fairytale location. The cave is in fact located at the base of a rocky cliff, not far from the medieval village of Cirra and the Rio Quirra, surrounded by greenery and the scents of Mediterranean scrub.

Its name is due to the fact that the cave was used, many centuries later, like prison.

The entrance today has a quadrangular shape, with direct access to the funerary hypogeum. On the walls it is possible to notice some remains of plaster: this has led us to believe that the place was also used as a place of worship.
